I’m a movie star! Not quite, but I’m a pointing, walking, app user in my friend Winnie‘s video. Directed by Winnie and shot by Jonathan, this video is being entered into the D&AD student awards 2013 for the It’s Nice That Brief. Fingers crossed she does well.

This will take your breath away. A time lapse video by Sean Stidegemeier in Yosemite National Park, California. This footage just shows how beautiful the world we live in can be. I have to go there sometime. I’d also like to try doing some time lapse video myself.

This is my photo essay. My lovely friend Kyra agreed to be the star of this and we follow her watery adventure through 1 minute of photographs and film. The underwater camera proves useful and fun yet again! The audio is me playing Chagrin D’enfant on the piano. I’m submitting this tomorrow at uni alongside my blurb book and research sketchbook.

For Christmas this year I got a camcorder! Eager to use it, I did some filming on Christmas and Boxing day. I cut and edited some clips to make this short film. It shows some of the fun at the Bothwell house. If you watch it and wonder what all is happening, there is a lot of wearing of the Fly Glasses & some games like Rapidough (which is great by the way) The song is ‘Come on! Let’s Boogey to the Elf Dance!’ by Sufjan Stevens. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I did and I can’t believe it went so quickly. I reckon I’ll use my Christmas present a lot over the next year & forever.

This is one of the beautifully handcrafted animations from Lucas Zanotto. The Ostrich involves puppetry, paper and an intriguing story that is worth 2 minutes of your day.  Filmed with a Canon 7D, the artistic depth of focus adds realism to this piece of work. If this animation interests you as much as it does me, then you should check out his website for this other work.
